about a week ago, heath brought home some silk worms for her classroom. it arrived home in a gigantic salad bowl with a clear lid. i happened upon them thinking it was leftover salad sitting on the table. then it moved. i don’t know how many hundreds are in there. maybe even thousands. but the silkworms were all the rage for the couple of days that they were here. we fed them and they ate. you could actually watch them eat. the leaves would disappear faster than you could put them in. and the coolest part. you could hear the leaves being munched up. the girls would hold them and pet them. i think at one point we started naming them.
