i really wanted france to win. that is until i heard that raymond domenech was so in to astrology that he only chooses players that have certain astrological signs. what a bunch of c-r-a-p. then zidane. what was he thinking? sheesh. congratulations italy. well done. oh. and barthez?

question of the day: zidane. is there any possible excuse? or is he tarnished for good?

    I would hope a moment of madness wouldn’t tarnish the legacy of the best player of the past 10 years….but then again every guy I work with, who only watch the highlights because “soccer doesn’t have enough scoring,” only wanted to talk about the head butt…

    Even if the rumor that his opponent was trash talking about his mother was true, it was not the right thing to do. His team and his fellow countrymen paid the price for his rash behavior.

    i was gutted when i saw him do that. it was like a fallen hero. i was crushed. i agree with ‘dad’ – no excuse.

    i also agree with kenny – his legacy will live on. he will be remembered as one of the greats. but this won’t be forgotten.

    vive zizou! he’s still one of my faves.
