papa came home from a fishing trip last sunday. yellow tail, mahi mahi and some blue fin tuna. maddie was enthralled. the fish were all frozen in the gigantic trash can filled with ice. as for us. we have lost 3 rummy nose tetras this week. not sure why they all died. i think we will lose a platty before the weekend is over. fish store, here we come.
question of the day: why do you think it is taking so much time to get relief to new orleans?
everything we rely on, and come to think of as a given, is gone. no cell phones, no power, no roads. and the water is not going away like it usually does when the rain stops. and the national gaurd is busy somewhere else right now.
cool pic by the way. really cool even.
I do think that certain conditions are making it difficult for relief to get to New Orleans. I also think, however, not enough was done BEFORE the storm hit to get people out of the city…people who were unable to afford transportation themselves or people who didn’t own cars. Poor planning and little consideration in any case.
